Who builds the advancing software, and why
Four people build Advancing Buddy, and two of them are on stage themselves. The app exists because advancing asks the same questions before every show, and the answers too often arrive scattered.
Four people build Advancing Buddy, and two of them are on stage themselves. The app exists because advancing asks the same questions before every show, and the answers too often arrive scattered.
Before every show the team asks the promoter the same things: hotel, transfers, technical, contacts, times. The answers come by email, on the phone and in chat, and on show day someone is hunting for the driver’s number.
Advancing Buddy collects the answers through a questionnaire, puts them into a day sheet and passes it on to everyone who needs it on the day.
Three founders and a designer. Two of them DJ, one comes from artist management, and one writes the code.
Artist management and sales
Berkant comes from artist management and looks after sales and marketing here. Many of the questionnaire’s fields exist because he spent years asking for them by email.
Artist and administration
Kevin DJs and produces. He sees a show from the stage side and looks after finance and administration here.
Software engineering and operations
Lukas writes the code, runs the servers and manages the company that offers Advancing Buddy.
Artist and design
Fabio designed the brand and the interfaces: wordmark, colours and the way a show day sits on the screen. He also DJs and produces.
Advancing Buddy is in alpha. The app is running and meant for real productions, but not finished. Features are being added or changed, and we make no commitment to fixed availability in this phase.
We back up the data daily. Anything you need for a running production you still back up yourself as well, for example with the organisation export.
That is why this website shows no customer testimonials, no logos and no user numbers.
We check every statement about a feature against the app’s code before it goes on this site. What isn’t built isn’t here, and where a feature has a limit, the limit is stated next to it.
This website sets no cookies and doesn’t measure who visits. Fonts and images are served from our own server.
In the app you report bugs and wishes through “Fehler melden” (report a bug) and “Feedback geben” (give feedback). Every report goes to the people who build Advancing Buddy.
This is the company you contract with, and it is responsible for your data.

The app screens show invented sample data; the artists, venues and people in them are made up.
